It continues to be managed by an all-volunteer Board, elected from season ticket holders. Mission: To provide residents of Rusk County and the surrounding area with opportunities to experience a variety of performances by outstanding professional artists.Tickets: Buy a season ticket and save! Season tickets may be purchased for $60 in advance or at the door at the first event.Advance Ticket Sale Order Form Tickets for individual performances may be purchased at the door for $15.00. Children accompanied by a paid adult are admitted free of charge. Student tickets $3.00.Complimentary tickets are available to organized groups (e.g. 4-H, Boy Scouts). Up to five group members can be admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult chaperone/advisor. THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE Audition Contact: Flambeau Valley Arts Association, fvaa1978@yahoo.com, 715-532-6338 THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE Audition An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE Monday February 11 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Ladysmith High School Auditorium. Those auditioning should arrive at 4 pm and plan to stay for the full two hours. Most of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. Among the roles to be cast are the wise Tortoise- Coach Shelley Bowlback , the conceited Curly Hare, Esther and her daughter Little Bonnie Bunny, the rascally Weasels, the singing service station Ferrets and the scaly Reptiles. Other roles include the Thespian Troupe, Curly’s Posse, the TV Crew and the rowdy Curly Hare Fan Club. Students, ages Kindergarten through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities. The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4 pm to 8:30 (approximately) each day, and a morning practice on Saturday will also be scheduled. THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE will be presented on February 16, 3 pm and 7:30 pm at Ladysmith High School Auditorium. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Ladysmith is presented locally by Flambeau Valley Arts Association with support from The Wisconsin Arts Board and the National Endowment for the Arts.
